430ex pointed straight up on camera, white ceiling to diffuse the light evenly.. Having a flash is nice. I was always hesitent in purchasing one, but times have changed and my current applications call for it. What was I thinking? A good flash should have been the next thing I purchased after a camera body and lens!
Of course I also would probably not have been aiming the flash up to diffuse of the white ceiling and in stead just aiming directly at him, if not for many hours spent reading Strobist articles. |

We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it. To help support the Literature community we hold regular contests. It is an opportunity for you to get involved and gain some exposure. Contest winners will be featured in a news article and a journal entry--as well as other fabulous prizes. A flash really should be the thing to buy immediately after screwing the first lens on the body. Light is essential to photography and the ability to make your own whenever you need to should be priority one. Wooo, wait till you get that thing off the camera a little.
